Keep It Simple, Stupid

Another risky promotion to come from those trusty merchants Diesel, this time in the form of encouragement of a lower intilect*. The campaign ,which succeeds the famous Dirty Thirty and the viral which made the rounds, promotes the message that the lack of thinking things through results in a better time, something that they have been pushing for years but finally had the balls to come out and say it.

*spelt incorrectly to make me slightly cooler according to Diesel.

If Folk Music Were A Blog…

…it would look like this. Ghostly Ferns is the writing of Chicago based fashionista and owner of apparel outlet 1918Vintage Meg Lewis. After stumbling on her shop, and then her blog, I’ve been hooked on it. I can’t quite put my finger on whether its the design, the copy or the general feel of the shop and blog but it makes me want to explore and doesn’t feel like I’m being sold anything or goaded into signing up to another great fandango. The blog in particular is just the things she finds and thinks and is good reading, have already made a new discovery in the shape of Owen Pallett from it… so there.

Hederus Lookbook SS 2010

null
I had the pleasure of chatting to Julia Hederus a while back to discuss some packaging ideas for her K-Swiss range. Since then she has gone from strength to strength and realeased some interesting stuff. Her latest offering is the Spring/Summer 2010 Lookbook titled “Del Ray Ghosts”. She predicts that the new decade will see specter inspired clothing, good news for all of us whose skin tone is only influenced by the glare from their Mac. Not seen the finished article yet but if her previous work is anything to go by Del Ray Ghosts will be a good look.
